I have a very old pair of SIDI road bike shoes. I am not sure what model. Size 44. I am looking to buy a new pair. I have narrow feet, and find that with my old shoes, I have to insert the top shoe strap to its maximum even with a sole insert. I normally wear 9 1/2 Street shoes. The questions is whether to go to a 43.5 or 43...stores in my metro area (DC) generally do not have half sizes in stock, so i am unable to try such on. The question i have is whether the 43.5 and/or 43 are in fact narrower than the 44 and thus i would not need to insert the top shoe strap to the maximum.
Our shoes sizing changes the entire circumference as the size changes, so, by going down a size or half size the circumference of the shoe is also going down meaning as you go down sizes the shoe will also become narrower.
