Which heel pads do I need?

Last Updated: Feb 16, 2016 11:10AM PST

The heel pad on any road shoe is often the most replaced part. You might notice that the heel pads we offer may not be exactly the same as those found on your shoes. If your shoes were manufactured before 2009 (see heel pad to the left in above photo) you'll find that they lack the notch at the top that our replacement spare heel pads have. This notch was made to accommodate the inclusion of a rivet to the heel of the shoe (see heel pad to the right in above photo). This rivet is an added measure of protection against heel separation.

The current model replacement heel pads are completely backwards compatible. They are specially shaped to allow them to be installed on both the current and last generation heels. These are available for purchase directly from Ciclista-America as well as our authorized SIDI dealers, Part#10909000000.
